honda xr650R... its a 2000 model and it has countless desert and road grins on it still bone stock exept the air filter,modified stock exhaust and handlebars and a big desert tank always starts on the first or second kick and has never let me down it gets an oil change every 600 miles and and the oil and filter on the next 600 mark it will still run over 100mph on the dirt or the tarmac
another example---old honda 350 4x4 85 model i think i remember riding that thing as a kid and when i go home its still in my friends garage at his dads place and he still uses it for hunting and around the farm and its lucky to get oil changes and brakes and never had any engine work. so yea i will agree with rincon that kind of reliability speaks pretty loud

that sucks! some people are just born @$$ holes the other day someone stole the radiator over flow bottle cap off my roommates italian super bike so we was looking online for a new one and its a 20$ cap!!!

yea obama is a commie.... A sadly humorous lesson on Obama's ideals...
Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign the read "Vote
Obama, I need the money." I laughed.
Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed - -
just imagine the coincidence.
When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I
was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in
disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone
who I deemed more in need - - the homeless guy outside. The server angrily
stormed from my sight.
I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server
inside as I decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.
At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the
homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was
pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn.
I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than
in practical application.
OR IS IT.........REDISTRIBUTION OF SOMEONE ELSE'S WEALTH IS A GREAT
IDEA........or just a fool's political game??

silly tree hugging hippies...and people leave the marked trails because there is a gate where you could once ride but they got it closed because of some hippie reason and yea if you put 1000 people in a 200 acre area yea you are bound to see a crash! you have to have space to ride if you close it all up where it is legal to go play people will start to just go wherever they want and then the hippie has just opened up a whole new can of worms...why cant they just leave us alone they even had to bring in boats and jet ski's into the argument they need to find something better to do than say someone that is cripple or handicapped can ride a horse?????how are they suposed to get on the horse????? what about if the horse gets spooked they fall off and the horse runs off..what to do lay there and hope someone comes along??? stupid hippies
im so glad my raptor and my xrr could disable every spotted owl in a 2 mile radius(good thing i only ride desert) where there is no one around but ohv enthusiasts as far as you can see(thats if you can see far enough to see another group of riders)..when it all gets closed going to thier house and ride in thier back yard since i can no longer play in my back yard

thats why you buy an older banshee for cheap and build it up the way you want it or find one that has been built the way you want and get that one..personally i think thats half the fun is building yours the way YOU want it

out in the open is where the banshee really shines if the trails get really tight you have to use the clutch alot to keep it in the power curve

belive it or not the banshee even though it is a 2-smoke is less maint than a 450 i would buy an older banshee for about 2K and take another 2 and put that into suspension and a good set of tires and wheels. and a fresh top end and you will have a better handling bike than a stock 450 that you droped 4K off the get go

yea well in CA it is not exactly easy to dual sport a bike! so yea it is a big deal...true it is not like the high strung 450's but it is more reliable
just an example of whats out there to ride if you were looking to get a dual sport machine leaning more to the off road side of things
1.XR650L(compare the L to the R) which would you rather be on?
2.KLX650
3.DRZ400
4.CRF230L
5.TW200
6.WR250R
and the rest of these bikes are not really capable trail monsters maybe the new WR but it has been soo de-tuned....
im just saying if i could of gotten a plate for any bike it would have been my CR500R and converted into a motard bike
